INDIVIDUAL & COUPLE
THERAPY

What To Expect From Therapy...

We work with both individuals and couples, on a short term solution focused basis (6-12 sessions), or open ended. These sessions are offered either face to face or remotely online.  The relationship offers a safe, non judgmental, confidential space, to tell your story. Whilst therapy has the scope for a great deal of exploration, it does not give advice or solve problems.  It is a journey of self discovery and growth; an opportunity to understand yourself better and make positive changes.  Every counselling relationship is unique...this is your space and your time, just for you...

What Is Therapy

A safe, confidential therapeutic relationship, to explore and help with difficult life problems.  A space to work on traumatic experiences and dealing with things such as anxiety and depression, effecting us on a daily basis. Learning to manage harmful emotions and behaviours.

My Approach

Our approach to therapy is integrative, meaning. Drawing from different modalities, enabling us to adapt ways of working, depending on what is needed within the therapy relationship.  Helping us to tailor the therapy to client's individual needs, working collaboratively.

Is Therapy for Me?

We guess the answer to that is...maybe! Embracing the process with an open mind and a commitment to tell your story, is always a good start!  Feel free to contact us, either by telephone or email, to discuss your needs and if you feel comfortable and ready, to make an initial appointment.

Short Term (6-12 Weeks)

Short term, solution focused work is usually over a six week period, though this can be extended for up to twelve weeks, if required.  This way of working focuses on finding solutions, for one particular issue and making positive changes, as opposed to working open ended, on a deeper level, focusing on the past causes of problems.

Open Ended Therapy

Open-ended therapy is a commitment to self-improvement that extends as long as you need it.  An opportunity to explore the past, present and your aims for the future.

Couple Therapy

Help is often needed with relationship issues; such as breakdown in communication, dissatisfaction, infidelity, arguing, parenting, external factors and all the other aspects that facilitate 'a relationship'.  Maybe you have already separated and need some help navigating through, co-parenting as a couple or family.  A space in which both partners are heard and support for one another is fostered, whether that be for a re-connection or amicable separation.
